About us

Hello we are Janine & Bart and this is our story :

I am Janine, grew up in Switzerland and as a child I already made field bouquets in my parents' bee garden. It is there that I have been given the feeling and respect for nature and that passion has only grown over the years. It was therefore natural for me to follow a floristics course in Zurich.

After my training I had the privilege to work at Blumen Marsano in Zurich in a large team led by Christian Felix. Afterwards I also had the opportunity to gain experience in Graubünden and in Lausanne.

When I got to know Bart, my curiosity was great to come to Belgium. The spark had also passed with Bart and so we started our own flower shop in 1996 in a side street of the Grote Markt with the poetic name Rozemarijnstraat.

The bouquets we made in Aalst soon proved to be a success and we were forced to look for a larger location.

We found it in the Molenstraat, a stone's throw from the market, in a building we have lost our heart to "De Gaepaert".

The building underwent a major renovation in 2017 and has been restored to its original state. Here we have the ideal space to showcase our flowers and plants and we find the inspiration for our creations. In the courtyard it is pleasant to stay among the outdoor plants and  pots.

Sharing our passion for flowers, plants and interiors with our customers gives us the greatest satisfaction, that's what we do it for.
